Resumen:

La enfermedad coronaria es la causa principal de muerte en mujeres y hombres, si bien la enfermedad les afecta de manera diferente, tanto en lo biológico como por las identidades de género. Esta obra contiene resultados de investigación sobre los sesgos de género en la atención de mujeres con enfermedad coronaria en los servicios de salud, pero también se presenta un detallado análisis sobre cómo ellas viven la enfermedad y su atención médica.

Abstract:

Coronary heart disease is the main cause of death for men and women, even if the disease affects them differently, both biologically and because of gender identities. This work contains results of research on these gender biases in the attention to women with coronary heart disease in health care services, as well a thorough analysis is presented as regards how women live the disease and the medical attention they receive.
