Este texto recoge una interpretación de la historia de las elecciones municipales en Sonora en el periodo 1900-1910, contribuyendo así al conocimiento de la política de México del siglo XIX al XX. Destaca algunos cambios económicos, políticos y demográficos durante el porfiriato, sus repercusiones en la entidad y los actores que definen la sociabilidad política local.

Abstract:

This text gathers an interpretation of the history of municipal elections in Sonora over the 1900-1910 period, thus contributing to the knowledge of politics in Mexico by the end of the XIX and the early XX century. The text underscores some economic, political and demographic changes over Porfiriato, their repercussions in the state and the actors that defined the local political sociability.
