Resumen:

A través de 38 biografías de legisladores del Congreso del Estado de Sonora, se registra el recorrido que va de la violencia endémica a la paz orgánica (1883-1939). El arribo del Estado-nación y sus entidades operadoras y tangibles –ejército nacional, aduanas, educación pública y cobro de impuestos–, y la difusión de las revoluciones tecnológicas del siglo XIX comunicaron y homogenizaron a la población.

Abstract:

Through 38 biographies of legislators of the Congress of the State of Sonora the road from endemic violence to organic peace is recorded (1883-1939). The arrival of the Nation-State and its operative and tangible entities —national army, customs, public education and tax collection— and the dissemination of the XIX-century technological revolutions communicated and homogenized the population.
