¿Qué, cuándo o quién habrá grabado en mi memoria cromosómica y en mis archivos genéticos aquello que me hace sentir tan familiar y tan entrañable todo lo mediterráneo, específicamente lo italiano y lo griego?Porque resulta que cuando visito esos lugares, los recuerdo (aunque nunca haya estado allí); los reconozco, me siento como “de regreso” en ellos y experimento una sensación inequívoca de pertenencia que no admite explicaciones racionales.

Abstract:

What, when or who had engraved in my chromosomic memory and in my genetic files that which makes me feel so familiar and endearing everything that is Mediterranean, specifically the Italian and the Greek? Because it is that when I visit those places, I remember them (albeit I have never been there); I recognize them, I feel as though “I’m back” and experience an unequivocal feeling of belonging that admits no rational explanations.
