Resumen:

Esta investigación se centra en un proceso que hasta la fecha ha sido marginado en la historiografía local. El análisis de la colonización de los valles cubrirá este vacío y ayudará a comprender el proyecto liberal implementado en Sonora durante la segunda mitad del siglo XIX. Con ello será posible conocer al grupo encargado de promover el desarrollo socioeconómico de la entidad.

Abstract:

This research focuses on a process which up to the present has been marginalized in local historiography. The analysis of the colonization of the valleys will fill this void and help understand the liberal project set up in Sonora over the second half of the XIX century. Hence, it will be possible to recognize the group in charge of promoting the socioeconomic development of the State.
