El tema central de los trabajos que componen este libro es el turismo, una práctica social que se ha consolidado como una de las actividades más características de las sociedades contemporáneas. El turismo está llegando a todas partes y parece capaz de comercializar cualquier forma de actividad humana. No hay sitio vetado a la curiosidad, es decir, a la ubicuidad de la expectativa humana corresponde la ubicuidad del atractivo turístico.

Abstract:

The central theme of the texts comprised in this book is tourism, a social practice that has become one of the most characteristic activities of contemporary societies. Tourism reaches all the world and it seems capable of commercializing any sort of human activity; there is no space banned to curiosity, i.e., the ubiquity of human expectations corresponds to the ubiquity of tourist attractions.
