Resumen:

Esta obra estudia los hechos ocurridos en el periodo 1750-1850 en las fronteras coloniales del noroeste mexicano y del oriente boliviano, las divisiones racial y social. Reflexiona sobre el papel de la naturaleza, la tecnología y las expectativas culturales de los habitantes de Sonora y Chiquitos, con los rasgos dominantes de la civilización europea.

Abstract:

This work studies the occurrences between 1750 and 1850 at the colonial borders of northwestern Mexico and eastern Bolivia, the racial and social divisions. The text reflects on the role of nature, technology and the cultural expectations of the inhabitants of Sonora and Chiquitos, with the dominant traits of European civilization.
